I'm AnnMarie Horseman. I'm a mother, a grandmother, an educator, a neighbor, and a proud Midland Democrat. Throughout my life, I've dedicated myself to serving others—whether in the classroom, in my community, or by standing up for working families who deserve a stronger voice in government.

Today, I'm running to represent Michigan's 95th House District because I believe every family deserves the opportunity to succeed, every child deserves a quality education, and every worker deserves dignity, security, and a fair chance to build a better future.

As a teacher, I've seen firsthand the challenges facing our students, parents, and educators. I've watched families work harder than ever while struggling to keep up with rising costs. I've seen parents worry about healthcare, childcare, housing, and putting food on the table. These aren't just political issues—they are everyday realities for the people of our district. That's why I'm running.

I believe government should work for the people who make our communities strong: workers, parents, seniors, students, educators, and small business owners. Not wealthy special interests. Not powerful corporations. Not political insiders.

I believe Michigan must become affordable again for working families. No one working full-time should struggle to pay their bills or provide for their children. I will fight for policies that lower costs, strengthen economic opportunity, and put more money back into the pockets of hardworking Michiganders.

As an educator, I know that our children's success begins in the classroom. I support fully funding our K-12 schools so every student has access to the resources they need to thrive. I support universal free breakfast and lunch because no child should have to learn on an empty stomach. I will work to reduce unnecessary standardized testing and allow teachers to focus on what matters most: educating our students.

I believe families deserve support from the moment a child is born. That's why I support paid parental leave and affordable childcare so parents can spend time with their children without sacrificing their financial security.

I believe healthcare is a human right. No family should face bankruptcy because of a medical emergency or be forced to choose between paying for medicine and paying their rent. I support Medicare for All and will continue fighting to ensure every Michigander has access to quality, affordable healthcare.

I believe every person deserves the freedom to make their own healthcare decisions. I will stand firmly in defense of reproductive rights and oppose efforts to roll back the freedoms that Michigan voters have overwhelmingly supported.

I also believe our democracy works best when elected officials answer to the people—not to wealthy donors and special interests. That's why I support getting money out of politics and increasing transparency and accountability in government.

The people of the 95th District deserve a representative who listens, who shows up, and who fights for them every day. I will bring the values I've carried throughout my life as a teacher, mother, grandmother, and community advocate to Lansing.

This campaign is about building a Michigan where families can afford to live, workers can earn a fair wage, children can receive a world-class education, healthcare is available to everyone, and government truly serves the people.
